Stamatiou Yannis

Yannis Stamatiou (born in 1968) graduated from the University of Patras, Computer Engineering and Informatics Department, in 1990 while in 1997 he completed his doctoral studies in Theoretical Computer Science under the supervision of Professor Lefteris Kirousis. Mr. Stamatiou is currently Professor at the Department of Business Administration of the University of Patras, Greece and Consultant on Cryptography and Security for the Security Sector of the Computer Technology Institute & Press (“Diophantus”) in Patras, Greece. His research interests are focused in cryptography and cryptanalysis, modelling of spread of malware in networks and ICT security. Finally, he has also participated as a reviewing expert in EU calls for proposals in security related areas.
